Tottenham Hotspur

My mate a Spurs fan mate, I’m pretty sure he’s Irish.

Hang on I’ll text him.

Spurs have been styled “the big 6” - why not us, why not Villa, why not Newcastle - all bar Newcastle have a more storied history and been more succesful - the PL and Sky has commercially invested Spurs and Spurs have kept up their part of the bargain, big transfer spends, European club profile and massive stadium for the cameras - which is why the ESL wanted them.

It’s undeniable really, they’ve been chosen ahead of us say us it Villa by the PL and Sky.

Would the PL want the above or Ipswich.

I don’t see a world Spurs go down, if I’m honest and they are the worse team down there - just watch.
If football was fair there would be no 'big six.' Just teams. We aspire to be one of that six. Take a look at yourself

You have missed the point and I said no such thing - the “big six” is a media construct, based on nothing sporting but Sky marketing the league and the PL receiving commercial revenue for it.

The question I posed is why Spurs were chosen as part of construct and not us or someone like Villa - is the very reason the PL would IMO not want them to swap places with Ipswich.

My gut tells me both they and West Ham will finish on 38 pts each with goal difference being the deciding factor in Spurs favour. They'll beat Wolves and Leeds, with a draw against Chelsea and us (that final day will be some drama). West Ham will beat an uninterested Leeds but I can only see draws for them against us, Palace and Brentford.

Forest and Leeds will both be safe (if not mathematically then effectively) by week 38 and won't take any risks in their respective final games. London however will be absolute chaos, especially if Arsenal go to the wire for the title like I imagine they will.

How wonderful is it to not be stressed out about our club at the business end of a seadon. Yes we're desperately playing something but it at least doesn't feel like the club's long-term future is on the line and the anxiety is too much to cope with.

I’m fairly well travelled and never met a spurs fan who wasnt English (sure they probably have some following in South Korea) They’re hardly a big draw
Here in New England, USA, I don't exactly move in footy-mad circles but I know/have met more Spurs followers than I have fans of most other teams. If my experience is any indication (which it almost certainly isn't), in popularity they're up there with Chelski, Man Utd, and, alas, the RS.

I've never come across another Evertonian. I like to think that makes me special in various senses of the word.

we'll be in the Banshee in Dorchester on Sunday.

I disagree.

The scum 6 run the league.

The PL ultimately will want Spurs in the league due to the revenue they bring in.
I'm with you buddy.
If anyone thinks Richard Masters doesn't care about his multi billion dollar regime then think again.
They will not let anything harm it.
Man U and the 💩 are their lotto tickets.
The rest of the scab 6 are useful idiots who keep the status quo.

The rest of us are nothing, as proved by their demand for 12 points for us and a 10 million fine for Chelsea.

Feel free to comment as it gets closer and we see some dodgy decisions either for Spurs or against West Ham, Forest and Leeds.
Try 11 minutes injury time yesterday for starters. Where have we seen this before?

Atm i cant see two wins in them. I thought they might get a new manager bounce with de zerbi. What yest showed is its all the players. They've a core of 8 or 9 players who know they wont be there next season either way and dont give a sh!t. The clubs around them havent got that.
2 Wins in 6 looks a lot for a side that hasnt won a single game in 2026.

People keep saying Spurs will have enough to stay up, what`s this based on ?

They haven`t won a league game this year and even yesterday, with a new manager, they looked clueless for large parts of the game, some of the players are devoid of confidence / have given up and large portions of their fan base have seemingly given up / buried their heads in the sand.

They could very well be down by the time we play them.
