Tottenham Hotspur

Desperate stuff.

Mike has a go at the club for the corporate sell out the owners have allowed but Everton fans cannot reflect they have done the same thing with arguably the worst named stadium ever.

Why not the Dixie Dean stadium or the people’s stadium - surely a more fitting name than any amount of money your getting for naming it after a corporate law firm
🤷‍♂️

We are in the rebuilding phase, and doing a pretty damn good job of it.
Do I love the name or even use, No.
But it's a just a name when you have come from where we were..

Take Note mate, No snobbery when the future of your club is at stake..
This is what pinpoints the difference of our Fanbases.

We are the people's club
you are the clubs people

You had someone, regularly cut the best deals in the league, delivered you the Beyonce-dome, and took you to finals at the same time.

There was no feast then famine, it was steady and progressive, you got taken for a ride by a few know nothing managers, but that happens, the man immediately above could be relied on to straighten the issue out and refresh.

Do you know what stinks though, the attitude, the entitled belief that somehow you're above all this relegation strife, the spoiled condescension of the league only existing to service yourselves. Once you start acting like you're a cut above it pervades the minds of all associated, and suddenly you're believing you're a cut above.

Well the table doesn't tell lies, you're a cut above no one, and this is the bit that holds the attention in the rest of the football pyramid. You've sleep walked into a relegation fight and not even been bothered to wake up. No wonder everyone is laughing.

I hope Sunderland hand you the most severe beating tomorrow, and Xhaka scores three of em.

When all the stock brokers, Dr's and politicians get up in arms at le-stadion-le-Swift, what are they inclined to throw to vent their frustration? vol-au-vents? toast-points & caviar? Do tarquin and rupert get proper antsy?

spurs are a grave reflection of the club they used to be, all the NFL and take-that tours can't win that identity back. A stern lesson in not selling out for a few measly quid then wondering why no one knows you any more. A hateful and hate filled entity of greed.

7 cup finals to go...
Please don’t talk about that which you don’t know.

Levy lucked into a generational talent like Kane - we had Kane and Son up front and Poch at the helm - Levy rewarded that with the only time a Prem club has failed to sign a single player in a summer transfer window - we were the 9th richest club in the world at that point and had the second highest ticket prices in the land and the bell didn’t spend a penny that summer.

Poch then pulled off a miracle by getting us to finish top 4 and make the CL final and was duly sacked 4 months later for going through the only bad spell in his 5 and half year tenure.

Ange guarantees us a trophy in his second season, delivers, gets sacked by Daniel Levy.

“Cut the best deals” - do t make me laugh, Kenwright got £60m out of us for Richy, Bournemouth got £60m for Solanke and Lyon £55m for Ndombele - the man’s a complete myth.

And you are wrong - we still remain a cut above Burnley and Wolves

That would make for a good song in 18th position

What are you about - loads of good players have played in the Champ - Olise was at Reading and is reportedly a £165m target of Real Madrid this summer
If it’s so easy to sign that talent, how come your club is filled with gutless preening wastrels?

I’m sure the people running your club will suddenly figure out transfer business when they are in charge of a diminished club in a second-tier league.

What terrible owners, should’ve really put your foot down all those years ago and got them out. Oh no hang on, you hero worshipped that baldy creep Levy for his shrewd transfer business and cheered on the corporatisation of the club as you tried to cling onto the pants of the Big 6 marching towards a Super League that would forever alter the course of the sport.
Levy was as popular at our gaff as Kenwright was at yours. The bloke was a grade A tosspot that often made baffling decisions.

Sacked AVB when we were 5th in the league and the previous year had achieved our record Prem points total at that point.

Sacked Harry after finishing 4th but being scabbed out of a CL spot due to UEFA changing the rules.

Sacked Poch after making a CL final

Sacked Ange after winning a trophy

The man was and still is hated. Tried to love us to east London - West Ham’s heartland.

Tell me you know sod all without telling me you know sod all

It’s fun

I won’t lie, there is a small part of me that hopes we do go down - it’s interesting, it’s different, it’s chaos.

New grounds, new teams, new banter.

We would also be a financial juggernaut down there

Don’t mind it at all, it’s just a bit too flashy for my liking…
You see, I’m a man of simple tastes, Mikey.

He’s not the right man for a relegation dogfight, mate.
We will see - no one can confidently say that as he has not been in this position before.

I liked his answer yesterday when asked why he has only brought two of his assistants in so far and he said because he didn’t want to confuse the players - he’s keeping it simple for the next 7, which is good because these players are bloody feeble

You all wanted AVB sacked after being bummed 5-0 at home by Liverpool and wasting the Bale money.

You all wanted Poch sacked after a nightmare start following the Champions League final bottling.

You all wanted Ange sacked for about 6 months leading up to the Europa final.

Nice attempt at hindsight though. Like I said, we weren’t born 2 hours ago so it won’t work on here sadly.

And in the end they’re going to win it anyway and you’re going down. Karma doesn’t half come around hard doesn’t it.
Again neither are set in stone are they Mike - I will be here after the last game of the season - feel free to throw that at me then.

I think it more likely we will be up and Arsenals quadruple will just be a league title - and I’m not even sure of that
