Tottenham Hotspur

I think he has the same problem as Martinez here. He has a certain brand of football that is good to watch when it works, but he lacks of adaptability. So rightful there are doubts whether he can implement a win no matter how mentality after all.

He was the manager that got smashed by us 5:1, but had a pretty good season when he took over from Potter and finished Europe. However, they finished on pair with Dyche the next season we had the deduction and went backwards a lot, as he was found out a bit.

I remember them to have about 1-2 shots on target with 70% possession against us.

He made a big mistake leaving Brighton imo. He was doing fine there and getting loads of adulation. All he had to do was sit put and wait for a super club to decide they wanted him which they would have. Instead he quit and took himself over to Marseille in a league that gets a fraction of the attention the PL does, and at a club where the fanbase is extremely intense but the ceiling is basically concrete never mind glass. No surprise he basically cracked up and quit before long, which in turn has definitely damaged his standing.

Spurs will be the biggest job he ever gets. And if they can just survive this season then long-term I'd argue it's still a great project for someone. But 2-3 years ago this fella looked nailed on for City or Barca, but not now.

What is it with you and the age of 30? To hear you, one would think anyone older than that automatically needs a walker to get around. Athletes keep themselves in much better shape today, so energy levels shouldn't be a concern for a player in his early 30s. Honestly, I think you must have loved the premise of Logan's Run.

Its not the age. Its the deal.

Is £30mil for a player (McGinn now Watkins) who is 30 years old, a good deal?

It's not mensa level.

Appointing a deeply toxic fan dividing manager is a new way to approach the 7 games to save the club from catastrophe.
That last game against us could be absolutely wild.
Quite.

Tone-deaf appointment.

The Spurs board have currently zero credit in the bank and deciding to go against fans consensus seems to be on brand.

I genuinely think they'd have united behind Redknapp for the remaining games.

Nice that it's not us.

Everything else is just theatre.

Front row seats please

I mean Spurs aren't playing a much worse season than last year, which was overshadowed by the win of a trophy.

Just this year, there ain't 3 historically bad teams with 25 points at max going down.

Thanks god we had this during the points deductions and stayed up the 2 seasons before on the last moment.

They've gone from Tudor 1 to Tudor 2

I can't believe the board or whoever thought he is the answer.
I would have taken Dyche and drawed themselves 0-0 to safety. Then sacked him.

Tbf, Dyche could only harm himself there. Either he would confirm what his reputation is, survival avoider at most times or be the manager that takes down a big 6 club.

Or anyone like ‘Arry really

Someone with history at the club who could put an arm around the players and gee them up

Instead they’ve gone for another ball buster who historically takes a while to get going, and to make it worse it’s one the fans are already naturally predisposed to dislike

Bunch of chumps running that club
