Tottenham Hotspur

They could have just kept Thomas Frank, sacked him at the end of the season, and then hired De Zerbi.

But as you say they thought the 17th place team in 24-25 was better than it actually is.

The board probably were thinking "we can still make Europe" rather than "how do we survive relegation" when picking replacements

No chance Tottenham get relegated. Every single contentious decision or 50/50 will go their way between now and the end of the season. They've got to play all those around them and the league will not want a big 6 team being relegated
Or the PL sniff the potential for a huge story and don't do anything more than help keep them in touch with safety until the last day and then they're a dodgy lasagne away from the championship.

Spurs need to pull their tripe out and help themselves. I think they'll do it - the fans seem to be waking up to the fact they will have to help drag the club over the line now so that's in their favour.

I do wonder whether their opponents are more likely to be on the receiving end of poor referring decisions, than Spurs being given the benefit of obvious contentious refereeing decisions (if that makes sense)

Saying they have to play those round them is great and all but they just got hammered by Forest at home

I’ve got them joint favourites for that third relegation spot with West Ham… both are awful but West Ham have more fight in them imo

It’s gonna be close!

If this was one of United Liverpool or Arsenal I’d agree, but Spurs have always been the least favoured of the sky six. I can’t imagine their footprint is anywhere near the size of those others. PL only cares about tv money, it’s allowed big clubs like Newcastle Villa Leeds to slip out and would have had no problem with us going as well.
