Tottenham Hotspur

Again, I'll go back to the egotism the club have.

They'd much rather go for a name manager who hasn't dealt with relegation because they think the players and team are better than it is.

They wouldn't touch a Dyche etc because it'll sully the brand.
They could have just kept Thomas Frank, sacked him at the end of the season, and then hired De Zerbi.

But as you say they thought the 17th place team in 24-25 was better than it actually is.

I think West Ham will probably go in the end but I think its going to be close. We will have Diouf and Fernandes off them when they do please. It would be mad if Spurs did actually get the drop though, there are at least 15+ of that first team squad that would be out the door asap. Thing with Spurs is that they could easily buy all the top talent in the Championship plus a few prospects from abroad and they would be back up immediately. It's going too be an interesting few weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I'd dance in the street for Wham gettimg relo'd as well. But Spurs... Tottenham, Spurs Hotspur, whatever their special BBC approved name is.... if they go down... that's it. That's the game. That's Sky TV questioning everything... was Carra wrong? Was Gary Neville wrong?

That's every US investor wondering if investing in our football is worth it, what if they turn into absolute shiRt and go down like the Totts?

Thats the Euro Superleague bricking it (they invited Tottenspurs!), that's Brenford to Dagenham and Truro to South Shields singing altoghter now that football isn't a dead sport.

Build a ground on a swamp fit for nothing, get nothing in return. Build a ground on your old ground, sell your team, charge 9+ a pint and food only in certain areas (customers) then you can Hotspur off my seldom trophy touching friends.

Oh no you’re not getting away with this, sorry. Wood had scored 3 goals that season, they sold him for £25m and Dyche chose to spend the money on Wout Weghorst to replace him. Dyche relegated Burnley in 2022, it’s advisable to just deal with it honestly.

Whose to say Wood wouldn't have kicked on second half of the season?

If I recall, Newcastle bought him to weaken their relegation rivals too as they were 2nd bottom in January.
