Mate .. I’m in aus so watch Optus sports for coverage . They got the crap presenter that used to do bbc then Hesky and Sherwood as pundits . 20 minute preview of spurs, interview with Jose , I’m depth analysis of their 3 signings complete with clips etc and of corse they’re all good signings according to them. Then mentions our signings , no clips , sherwwod says James is basically crap and has been for 6 years AND THEN lol... starts talking about how we always spend money and every year people talk about us being top 4 and us never making it.... nothing wrong with that view I think we can all agree . He then goes on to say that for him “ Everton were the biggest underachievers last season” ok.. can see that point of view . Then says “ Carlo has won so many trophies in his career and that any other manger would have been sacked” “ I think the fact that he’s won so much is the reason he will be given a bit more time “ he’s literally been here for under half a season lol totally ignored the fact he’s signed no players until last week and the fact that the other season he has been talking about... we had Silva , Sam, Ronnie and bobby as manager . I couldn’t believe he was talking about how any other manger would have been sacked ... he’s a moron

In Soccer Saturday terms I didn't think I could dislike anybody more than Merson and Nicholas. Even Thompson was more palatable. But Sherwood spoke of us with absolute contempt. WTF have we ever done to him?

You have to ask why is there so many of these so called pundits who despise Everton? Its not about individuals its a general BBC/ Sky endemic anti Everton bias, it goes back to the 70s. Trevor Sinclair called Liverpool people ‘bin dippers’. They employ him on Talksport, he cant even speak half a sentence without a huge vacant pause...

I can't believe anyone thinks we are capable of challenging the top 4.

If we can get another couple i.e. Right back and right winger then there's no reason it's not a possibility. United haven't strengthened really, they only got top 4 because of an idiotic amount of penalties, otherwise it would have been Leicester who had a poor second half to the season.

The quality of the league is so bad, james could tear it up more than anybody else is capable of and that would be enough to at least compete.

...it would taken an amazing leap of faith for any TV punter to consider us a threat to top4. We were awaful at the end of last season and there‘s reasonable caution about our new signings.

i just want us to go to these places and be hard to break down and carry attacking threat. We have to prove we can mix it with teams at the top of the table.
