They were top drawer today, fair play to them. They were disciplined at the back, creative in the final 3rd and did all the shitty little things like winning fouls and taking the momentum and time out of the game in the 2nd half.
At times I thought we were playing a top Italian side, they had that kind of solidity and cleverness about them.
Make no mistake they will be in the mix for at least Europa.

Wasn’t it weird the way the free kick position got discussed so much. That happens in every game with a majority of free kicks. The precise position of a free kick on the touch line Made no difference, DCL got between the CB’s and billeted a header home.

Favourite moment of the game.

Davies coming on for Rodriguez and within 20 seconds looking completely out of his depth chasing the ball.

We did say Allan would be the main man out of the 3. Sublime performance from him, what a player he will be for us.

Rodriguez just made me smile all game. Every time he got the ball he was always looking in bringing an attacker into play. Compare that to siggurdson in that same role. We can ask what putting a Messi or a pirlo into a midtable team would look like, it looks like that. Effortless.

Doucoure didn't stand out as much for me but he was part of moving the ball so much. Like that fast one two that retained possession and then released it forward, that was brilliant.

Proud stuff tonight after that game. The first time we have said that in a long time. String a few of these together and even the kopites in the media may start talking about us
