I think about 10 years ago, I was hoping to get Rafael van der vaart as a 10. I don't know why - I think he performed for me in Football Manager. Anyways he wanted to go real and then ended up at spurs or something and realised how small we were. We were in that spot where you couldn't sign anyone to take you to the next level, and smaller clubs wanted extortion money to take one of their players like Gylfi.

Man.... MAN... we got James. JAMES! One of my favourite players.

I'm also a Golden State fan - and we were poop for like 30 years... then we got Kevin Durant (also one of my favourite players). It was a real pleasure to watch even though he was disgruntled for like 50% of it.

But James is here with Carlo and Carlo will protect him. I can't see how he won't be picked if he's fit. He's so much better than any other player on the team if he's playing well. WTF is going on Carlo is one of my favourite managers ever with James one of my favourite players.

Now I need to buy FM this year because if I play last year's version, I'm sure the James transfer won't go through.

3-1 Toffees. Richarlison, DCL, James.

The Allan signing is immense, and Doucoure was great last season.

It's going to be really good having a midfield again!

I meant compared to the last two or three years. Carsley/Cahill and Arteta were very good.

haha - yeah definitely it was just that davey moyes era where those players were known for their work ethic. Arteta had lots of talent. Cahill was very underrated....

The last couple of years i didn't even bother watching what allardyce and the end of silva served up. koeman too.

Was wondering what happened to Gbamin and how long he's out for so I went to his wikipedia... sad for the bloke, but that is one strange wiki entry.

Everton
Gbamin signed for Premier League club Everton on 2 August 2019 on a five-year contract for a £25 million fee.[6] He made appearances in the club's first two games of the season, before being ruled out for eight weeks due to a thigh injury.[7] In October 2019, it was announced he would be out injured until January 2020.[8] In January 2020, it was announced he would be out until the end of the season. [9] In May 2020, it was announced he would be out injured until November 2020.

I think we can get a result here. I'd set up 4-3-3. Pickford - Kenny, Holgate (if fit), Keane, Digne - Allan, Docoure, Davies (I know, I know) - Walcott, DCL, Richarlison.

Basically I don't see how Gomes, or Delph will be match fit, and I cannot see Rodriguez being ready to start. Don't want to rush him straight in. Set that team up and use Walcott and Richarlison to match their full backs and work their socks off. Use the middle 3 to try and control the game.

Then, tripple substitution around the 70 min mark. Bring on Gomes, Kean and Rodriguez for DCL, Walcott and Davies and nick it one nil.

First game of the season is always a cagey affair, hopefully the new lads will be fit enough to play a part but I'm not overly fussed if they're in now, just get them up to speed fast.

If Cahill was very underrated, what about Osman. One of my favorite players, great player

Again?

i watched lee carsley, cahill, kilbane, osman and arteta and players of that ilk for like 10 years.

This feels like a level above!
Mate Cahill would walk into our side. Even with the new signings. Peak Cahill would be 60+ million in today’s market been conservative. He was the top lad for Australia aswell. Scoring blamifications.
