No man of the match for me.

The lack of athleticism in our squad was exposed really badly today. Their players were in a different dimension in terms of their pace, power and agility, before you even get to skill etc. I said earlier it was like our players were running through mud.

I watched the game, I didnt expect Everton to be this shitty. Cenk coming from a combination tiki taka team to a clueless team. I hope they will get better.

To be fair, Cenk said in his press conference that he’d watched Everton many times in TV....I’m thinking he mixed us up with Espanyol or Exeter.

Imagine being a football manager, looking at Cuco and Bolaise and thinking 'Yes. I want them in my starting 11.'

I'm aware that sounds vaguely racist, but whatever colour of the rainbow they may be, they're still gash footballers.

Really not sure I would wish them on any club. Really cannot understand how they manage to get away with pretending to be footballers?

Why would that be racist?

I'll say it again;
The game is - and always will be, won or lost in the mid field.

Until we get a MF unit - a whole, be it a 3 (fat chance) or a 4, 5 or even a 6 ffs (well maybe not a 6) - as opposed to a collection of individuals playing (poorly too) in set individual positions...your No 10's, No 8, DMF, in the hole, wide mid field, attacking midfield and all the other technical (rhymes with bee) rowlocky buzz words, etc, etc.
Expect more of the same...whoever is in charge

Oh and some more effort, commiment and such...including engaging the brain now and again wouldn't go amiss.

I am a Besiktas Fan from Germany... At first: sorry, my english is not so good, but i will try my best :P
To the Match: The middlfield is really bad, and the wingplayers have to get Faster. No one can feed Cenk Tosun with quick and danger passes!!
He is used to playing faster and getting fast passes. Believe me, i am 35 Years old and i know cenks quality.
If the team solves these problems, you will be very positively surprised by Cenk Tosun!
He is very fast, technically gifted, very strong in the field and one of the strongest shooting players in the turkish league! He needs more time to adapt to it!!! He learns very quickly!!!

Cheers,

....we defended dreadfully as a unit, the back four pulled out of position with Spurs movement and Gueye and McCarthy not able to defend that area ‘between the lines’ where they are so good. I still think Allardyce did remarkably well getting us to where we were before Christmas but the challenge is still to get us safe.

No shots on goal. I really think this might be as much down to personnel as it is tactics.

Despite the teams defensive frailties, i’m going with Holgate.
