Rafael was being too clever maybe trying to win the europa league and getting in the CL but now what? He wishes he didn't made that comment about everton being a small club.

A torressless liverpool can make them a million 100% smaller than any club.

I heard that Benitez, in relation to CL qualification has invoked clause 436537898: sub-section 12c: chapter 4 that clearly states that if there is an icelandic volcanic eruption Then the RS will automatically qualify for the CL

Wait and see just when they are on the brink they will be taken over by some billionaire sheik!

Big chance of overhauling them this season - woul be mucho sweet!

Come on West Ham.

Did Rafael forgot that such a clause if ever was gonna be invoked then there was a certain term in bold " NOT FOR RS"?

Whereas I can see Everton becoming serious contenders for 4th-6th place in coming seasons. If it wasn't for the injuries early on you would be in the race, and if you retain a solid squad like what you have now, it's not out of the realms of possibility.

If it was not for allowing a lead in a few recent games to become a draw we would be in 4th spot now. It was in our own hands.

I take no joy from Torres' injury - he's a great player.

I'm loving Rafael's discomfort atm. though. I do hope he stays as I feel he's reached his limit as a coach, motivator and manager. So they need to get just edged out by Atletico in the Europa. Or even reach the final to be unluckily defeated. That way, he's more likely to stay - and Steeeevie and Torres might just lose patience and leave.

Then I'll be really laughing....

Shame as he always comes across really well in the real life, wouldn't wish bad things on people like that.

Obviously anything which makes them even shitter is good news though but I hope he's fit for the World Cup as he's one of the world's best.
