If we beat Stoke tonight, were only 7 points off 4th and given the recent form of the sides ahead of us apart from Chelsea, is 4th place achievable as currently were the most inform team in the league.
Not in my opinion. I'm quite positive normally but I think our bad run in the autumn has left us with too much of a mountain to climb and I also believe we needed to buy a playmaker during the last transfer window to help us break down teams who park the bus. That could be our achilles heel.If we beat Stoke tonight, were only 7 points off 4th and given the recent form of the sides ahead of us apart from Chelsea, is 4th place achievable as currently were the most inform team in the league.
Bruce. Please don't get into that bad habit of counting chickens. You know what always happens when we do that. We've got a relatively benign run of fixture between here and the end of March, with only Spurs as a fixture to worry us. In the same time, Man Utd have some hard league games, plus 3 cup competitions to occupy themselves with.
We could go to Anfield and Old Trafford at the start of April in a decent position. Got to take each game at a time though, as Everton have a long track record in recent years of getting into positions of promise and choking when the pressure is on. At the moment, pressure is largely off and we're playing well. When the pressure/expectations are on, it may be different. Lets see.
