Top 5 Destinations You MUST See?

Love the Idea of wild camping. I do it now with my camper van - just find a quiet lay by out of the way to stop over in. Live in fear that some spoilsport landowner will, for no apparent reason move you on. Does my head in that so many car parks have height barriers in that means I can't use them. I suppose it's local councillors protecting their mates who'd like to have your cash to kip overnight on their land.

It was great fun, camped in barns, old cottages, a cave in Betsw y Coed ( spent a week there ).

The fact that you weren't tied to having to be anywhere, meant that you had the freedom to roam and ended up in all these weird and wonderful places.

There's tons of places I really want to go but if I had to choose 5 I haven't been to I'd say...

1. Seattle/Vancouver
2. Iceland
3. Alaska
4. Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam
5. Australia/New Zealand

Guess that's more than 5 technically but oh well lol

Bending the rules is okay...

I haven't been able to travel much due to various different factors, but there are five places that I dream of visiting. There aren't JUST five places, but I've narrowed them down.

Hopefully, one day, I'll get the chance to visit maybe one or two of these places. There's a definite theme - mountains, forests, snow, Germanic architecture, a body of water...

I don't really like the sun!

If you HAD to, where are the top five places you just HAVE to visit in your life?

For me:

Aalesund, Norway

I worked and stayed in Aalesund for over a year in a Subsea 7 spool base (pipeline) lovely place but very expensive! (9 pound a beer or about 14 quid for a short!!!
We used to drink in Dirty Nellies, Lip (nightclub) Piano bar. The shops over there are very trusting as well, they have (Had!) nice Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren gear on the rails outside the shop..

Just seems like such a beautiful and clean place. I can imagine waking up on a morning and strolling round the place just falling further in love at every corner...

I was even tempted to go there and then hire and drive to Tromso...but that's at least a DAY'S drive I've been told!!

Would absolutely love to go to Alaska? How did you do your trip?

Won't be this year however, planning to do a good bit of Italy in September.
