Can't argue with that. You are looking at 6-10m for Fer and 18-20m for Lukaku though right?

What about.

1. Fer
2. Younes Belhanda (plays right mid, is dying to come to the Prem and would give you the option of Kev up front.)
3. Micah Richards (still young at 24, would really challenge for places at center half and right back.)

I like your list.

- Fer is a must-have when you consider the cover we have availble in CM;

- Belhanda, for exactly the reasons you mention. Cover at RM, options at RM, allows us to play Mirallas elsewhere if we want (such as his better position of LW, slowly replacing a declining Pienaar). I believe Belhanda can also play as a 10 or a CM?

- Micah Richards is the sort of sigining we need if we are to progress in building a bigger, better squad. Would alow us to sell Heitinga too. We also have to remember the "homegrown" quota, we can't ONLY sign foreign players.

Those suggesting Negredo, Lukaku and Benteke are in cloud cuckoo land.

You do realize mate that Belhanda is conservatively estimated at about £15m quid and is being linked with Arsenal heavily again.
Leroy fer is gonna cost about £10m is a dutch international and profile was raised hugely by our failed bid, and now other teams are circling and sniffing around him you can forget about 8m on the drip like we had sorted.
Richards - would probably cost upwards of 12-14m at least. still only 24 and is English which would drive the price up a lot and is currently on more wedge at city than anyone we have besides Fellaini, so gonna be paying £65k a week to match his salary to come here as a back up?

Don't suggest others are in cloud cuckoo land when your own list is just as unlikely. we'd have a slight chance at any of those players imo same as for the likes of benteke, lukaku and negredo

This is all assuming we sell Fellaini and Heitinga, at least.

1. Bony - Really like the look of the lid. Seems to be compared to Drogba quite a bit, but I think he looks like more of a Yakubu in 07/08. He could definitely handle the lone role. Young and coming into his prime at 24. Apparently we were going in for him in Jan so I presume he'd cost around the £8m mark?

2. Moses - I'd like to see him at RM so we could move Mirallas behind the striker. He's been pretty effective there for Chelsea, is a goal threat and is only 22. £10m is the supposed fee, which is a lot, but we'd have money if Felli's gone. It's wages we'd need to worry about and £50k a week for a good player is manageable.

3. Fer - Just what we need for Osman's position in front of Gibson and behind the AM. Wages were supposed to be £50k before the deal fell through in January and the fee, I believe, was around £7m. We could handle that I think.

That'd work out at around £25m, with an estimated wage increase of £150k a week. But I suppose taking away Felli's, Heitinga's and Moyes' wages would free up around £200k alone. All educated guesswork though.

These aren't necessarily my first choices, but I tried to make it semi-realistic. Seeing as we've already gone for Fer and Bony and agreed deals for them, I could see us going in again. I think Matias Suarez, Clasie, Alderweireld and Belhanda are a few that look absolute class acts, but I have no idea whether they're realistic for us. I'd definitely swap Belhanda for Moses if it was doable. Suarez especially looks the business.

Would anyone know the prices or how realistic any of the above are?

Suarez was due to be going to CSKA Moscow last year for around £12m I think but failed medical put a stop to that. Was out for a long period last year so i'd expect his value to have dropped. Has been liked with West Brom fairly recently.

I'd prefer Moses to Belhanda as we know he can handle the league and he's going to be a star in a few years

Mourinho has said he wants Lukaku and De Bruyne in his squad, not sure about Marko Marin. But if all three of them are staying that must mean there is no spot for Moses. I'd love him to come to Everton, thought he looked really good this season under Benitez and if Benitez can make a player look exciting he must be good.

Ah, cheers mate. Had no idea about that. Could be a bargain for somebody there.

Belhanda was mentioned in the media last week as being available for £8m. Haven't seen him linked with Arsenal, but I also see no reason why he wouldn't be.

Not seen any news re Fer, other than us still being interested. Again, happy to take your word for it.

Richards might actually come for less than the £12m you mention, given the crowded squad at City. I agree it's an unlikely transfer, but given the wage space we have cleared already, and will continue to clear if the likes of Heitinga depart, £65k a week is achieveable. But a bit much for a backup, I agree..... But as a replacement for Jags?

On the other hand:

- Bids of £14.5m for Negredo have already been publically rejected; we didn't make that bid, so we KNOW other clubs are actively pursuing him. Do you think we can win a bidding war?
- Mourinho has publically stated Lukaku is not going anywhere, on loan or otherwise;
- Lambert has been quoted as saying he would not let Benteke go for even £20m.

Belhanda and Fer are more realistic targets than Negredo, Lukaku and Benteke. FACHT.
