Dont forget Martinez plays a certain style of football that involves building from the back and a high % of ball retention, he will be looking for technical players, so forget about out and out wingers or the likes of Defoe and Bent up front. Players from Holland, Spain and Germany will be brought in. Alcaraz will be the only signing who's played in the Premier League as there is no value with regards to the more technical imports already playing in England. Maybe there's something in the rumours linking us with Lindegaard at United as he's technically decent whereas Howard is average in that department. Interesting times and too unsure at this point to list 3 players ala footy manager.

Didn't he also say he plays the style that fits the players? To me it just seems like his System doesnt involve certain kinds of players or a specific formation its more a mentality. Also why do "out and out wingers" not fit into a high percentage of possession? If you mean they are more likely to lose the ball going at people then look at maloney, or mcmanaman(who is overrated and flavor of the month in my eyes).

I keep seeing Honda's name being mentioned.

If he signs for us, I will rip my cock off and throw it into a dog pound.

Nicely said Moomin....but I think you will be safe as the only Hondas that we are likely to get will be the little engines powering Bill's new lawnmowers.

Realistic (assuming no one leaves):
Diame
Lescott
Ince

Unrealistic (unless someone, ie Fellaini, leaves):
Fer
Moses
Negredo
(I'd also still like Lescott to sign)

I think we need to start looking to replace Pienaar he is getting on a little but would change him for the same type of player a younger pienaar

Isn't that what we bought Oviedo for? I know he's supposedly an attacking full back but he looks more like a winger to me anyway.
