Shocking today. His inability to beat all 11 Liverpool players today was terrible.

And what's with that closing down nonsense!! That's not what our midfieldersite should be doing. They're supposed to stand absolutely motionless at the edge of our own box without throwing a challenge in. The line CF is the one who should be tracking back to midfield to get the ball.

Reminds me of an excited kid in a toyshop. Tries too hard imo. Needs to slow down and think , if he is ever to progress. Chicken no head comes to mind

They are a work in progress FFS and among the best players in the country, possibly even Europe, in their age groups. Given the right management any of them could be key players for us for years to come.

I agree both Davies and DCL are getting too much game time at the moment, but that isn't completely their fault FFS. Just give them a 'kin break won't you.

Yeah. It's definitely worse on the DCL thread.

So out of his depth it's unbelievable. I genuinely feel sorry for the lad because he obviously cares but right now he's nowhere good enough to be starting for us.

They are getting criticised because they are poor. Every player that plays poor gets stick and the same will and should apply to the youngsters. DCL and Davies have had the honeymoon period when age is taken into consideration and we let things go but we cannot keep using the 'youngster ' card when they don't bring anything to the table. Yes they could develop into better players but would rather see that elsewhere on loan. I honestly do not remember a good game Davies has had this season.

Some people are pointing out that he did a pass that created a chance today but that is grasping at straws.....it's the least we expect if you are on a pitch for that amount of time. Even bad strikers get the odd goal but doesn't mean they are good. With DCL and Davies in the team we are poorer for it and we need to look for much much better which shouldn't be difficult.

..his use of the ball continues to be very poor. He’s had a disappointing season, let’s hope it’s a blip but his all around game really needs to improve.

Davies hasn't played well all season. He's came on and upped the tempo a few times at home but that's more down to his desire than actual technical ability.

We talk about Calvert-Lewin needing a loan but I think Davies is in equal need of one. Not a chance he should still be starting next season.

Which senior seasoned experienced players do you think have been so much better than these young lads, maybe we should send schneiderlin out on loan or Rooney to the championship, quite interested who has been so much better than these lads who have been available?

I actually said in my post that I don't really have an issue with young players getting criticised if you bothered to read it properly, although, having said that, I do believe they should be given a bit more leeway than the older experienced players. Sadly, most of our fans are of the same opinion of you which is probably one of the main reasons we are not able to hold on to them in the event they do break through.

I also said that both Davies and DCL shouldn't be getting so much game time, simply because they are not ready yet to be regular starters. Both should be rotating players, starting the odd game but mainly being introduced form the bench. Our youngsters are being badly managed at the moment IMO, with the likes if Davies and DCL being overused and Baningime, Vlasic, Lookman and Holgate being used nowhere near enough.

My main issue is with people writing these players off as never being good enough for us. How the hell do they know that?

I note what you say about loaning him/them out. Wouldn't disagree with that provided it's to a similar standard, i.e Premier, German or French first divisions. Having played so much in the premier already they will learn absolutely nothing going down to the championship. It isn't game time they need. It's the opportunity to play with against quality players that will develop them to the next level. Personally I would prefer to manage that ourselves by having them as part of our squad, but not as regular starters until they have proved themselves capable.
