What does he offer? What are his strengths? I don't know what type of player he is supposed to be. He isn't creative, he doesn't track his man, he isn't a ball winner, he has no pace, but once again, he is a blue and gets us though. Sick of the local lads getting away with murder when other jokers like Keane bear all the brunt. He has been horrendous all season.
Yes mate yes I couldn't agree more ;)

Not got the physical attributes to make it. Too small, too weak, too slow.

He's not even 20 yet.

Currently he is struggling, and I don't think he will go on to be a world beater but will probably be a decent top flight player.

Realistically he should be able to step out when struggling or even be out on loan right now but because none of the senior pros have stepped up or we don't have better options this is what we are left with.

I think there's a very good player in Davies (not top class) as he's previously shown on the pitch, but he's currently incredibly out of form.

Unfortunately, the typical polar-methodology of many in our fan base results in quick cries of "he won't make it" and highlighting his deficiencies.

I'm not saying he is exempt from criticism, yet it is unrealistic and naive to expect a young lad to expect him to consistently thrive at his age.

There are older, seasoned professionals on the pitch, who are also playing poorly, who deserve much more of your criticism than Tom does.

What he needs, as mentioned previously, is time out of the starting XI and from the limelight when he can rebuild his form and confidence.

However, due to our squad lacking any real impetus in the middle then he's being shoe-horned into the side which is only adding to his problems.
