I think there is a very good player in there but has a bit of maturity to do. I find frustrating that when he has the ball always looking to beat his man and then loses it instead of looking up to make a pass. But in saying that I am also pointing the finger at his team mates who are not that clever either.

That is what put us on the back foot and then had us chasing the game.
He never hides, that's why he's constantly in the spotlight. But I also agree he gets away with more being scouse.
He needs to go back to the under 23s and regain the form he showed last season, when he was fearless now he's playing with fear and it's ruining his game.
No one was saying any of this last season.
Difference was he had lukaku in front and barkley beside him. Both players are far superior to anything he's got and are probably what brought the best out of him.

He's a good player, just low on confidence and not playing in a midfield that has any balance. And isn't he like 19 or something? Thought he had a good first half against Utd anyway.
He needs to be playing in a high pressing system – he'd probably thrive at the Redsh*te.

Exactly, not great but McC followed Sam's instructions get stuck in never mind cards, or to have had a nasty piece like Besic on.

Davies has that in him too but needs to stick to what he is good it. Tends to take players on when he doesn't have that turn of pace. better looking for a one too and getting into space. never hides as said above and tries to get us going forward
No surprise his best performance was against West Ham when we were playing a pressing game. Had to laugh when Allardyce said we weren’t pressing against United as we’ve made no attempt to play that way since he came in.

He actually linked up well with Vlasic in the 1st half. For once, we saw Tom marauding down the field again and making dangerous runs into the box. 2nd half was a different story, but we put ourselves in trouble by coming out sluggish.

With Davies current form he just should not be playing games right now. Thats not to say theres not hope, hes young and he may just be having a sophomore slump. Everyone is going to go through failure at some point, and this gives both him and the team an opportunity to step back and evaluate, see what the issues are and think about how to address them. If they are serious about his long term development they should have someone dedicated to that and maybe take a step back to get a clearer picture.
In this rough patch he was excelent when he came on vrs Newcastle and particular Swansea, also excellent vrs West Ham and first half yesterday with limited players to give the ball too.
I dont think Davies is going through a tough patch, i just think people have decided he is and are sticking to that (not you btw mate, i know you were trying t ostick up for the lad)
All you absolute weapons have already damaged Rosco and are driving him out the club!
