Hopefully the goal gives the lad some confidence because except for that he was shocking today.

His best pass all game was a volleyed backpass to Pickford which was harder than every other pass he attempted.

He was rubbish today and the goal was fortunate but hopefully that will serve as a springboard for him. Yes he is young but his performance level has been garbage this season but you could see in his celebration how much playing for Everton means to him. Hopefully he takes it easy this summer and comes back all guns blazing next campaign.

Has had all the positivity of his game sucked out of him by the walking gravy boat. I’m a big fan of Tom but think Allardyce and his play safe tactics have sucked the life out of him. I will always forgive players losing the ball trying to play forwards but can barely remember a forward pass all game. Hopefully a new manager will renew his confidence because he looks shot currently.

Davies will probably thrive in a manager who knows how to organise an attacking team. Dare I say under Martinez he would have been immense for us. Playing behind the ball and so rigid makes it difficult for him to contribute without actual movement ahead if him.

Reckon if we get the right man in next season then Davies could have a stand out year

I think his problem is that he does'nt really know what he actually is. He is not a no.10 because his passing, creativity, and shooting are not good enough. He is not really a box to box midfielder as for that you need to be able to do a bit of everything in terms of attacking and defending and at the moment he does'nt seem to have the skillset for it. Nor do i see him as a defensive midfielder as his tackling and positional play are not good enough. He needs a coach to mould him into a specific position and just stick with it and teach him the required skills or have him play along side a much better, much more experienced midfielder who can teach him the role. Allardyce wants the finnished article, he is only getting games at the moment because we don't have anyone else.
