Let’s give him all next season and end up mid table again. And then when we lose holgate, Richarlison and DCL. But it’s fine because we are the club that give youngsters a 150 games to try and prove themselves.

Undeserved criticism, are you serious. We’ve had one the worst midfields In the prem for the last few years. Apart from Gana the rest have been shocking and I include Gomes. And Davies has been a big part of it.

Ancelotti will need time to build a top 4 team & we will need to produce young players coming through the ranks as well as top signings & this will take 2/3 years minimum...

There are weaker less fitter & less able players than Davies who still has this room for development so it makes sense to keep him & nurture him into a prem player...

We have older players & injury prone individuals who we do need to move on....

So let's encourage are young players Davies,Holgate,DCL & Gordon & get the absolute maximum out of their ability to move this club onwards to a different level...

No manager can simply pick and choose which players they move on, unless their contract has ended.

A 22 year old is likely to be easier to move on than a 32 year old.

If a half-decent offer comes in for Davies then he should go. He's had 100 Premier League matches in which to develop, and he's still well short of what's required.

The Manager picks the team & chooses the squad...

Surplus players will be moved on...loan,sold or contract not renewed...

Ancelotti knows what is required & my guess is Davies will be playing for Everton for a few more years...

To sell good young players who have plenty of room for improvement would be a mistake...
