I just think we are so lucky that Hudds and Fulham are gone and we picked up enough points early doors. I am still hopeful for all Evertonians under 30 that one day they will have a club to be proud of. Up until 1990 even in the lean seasons we were still thought of as in the big six. We also in my humble opinion used to be the most innovative of the big six. Thankfully I have had happy times and bad times, but the last 20 years have been sad, frustrating times.

I like him. I think last few games he’s really shown for the ball. Not everything is going right but compare him to anonymous Gylfi and it’s night and day. I usually criticise Gueye as well but inf airiness I think centre mid was about the only area of the pitch trying. The two of them got on the ball under intense pressure and actually showed decent composure to not panic and find useful passes. Gomes Siggurdson Richarlison Tosun could barely keep possession.

Mate.

I have never ever said he is the answer to our problems. I protect/support him on here only so far as to say it is too early to write him off totally.

But in the last 2 games he has played well, certainly better than those experienced players around him. But people like yourself and Chris continue to give him loads of stick whilst saying absolutely sod all against those seasoned Internationals, some of who are earning 5 or six times his salary. And at the time I posted my original message I had checked the other players threads and absolutely zero had been posted about them.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Teflon Tom. We all know his faults and' lets be honest, he has plenty of them. But this is true of all young players his age except for those who turn into truly world class players, and even some of them were no better than Tom at the same age.

No, this is about giving credit where it is due, about acknowledging when one of our players has a decent game.

I honestly don't see the point of singling out players right now. They are all crap, every single one of them, nobody deserves to be spared from it.
