Really pleased he's back. Gives the side balance, and we'll need him against Arsenal. Pienaar hopefully to get on the bench at least for the Norwich game.

Is anyone even now? If he is playing on the left, I'd much rather have Mirallas and Del on either wing.

Depends on the game but Cleverley was the player that had created the most amount of chances in the team up until his injury so nice to have him available. Think he also will work better with Baines than Kev will.

Do you know what, I'd rest McCarthy at the moment and put Cleverley in that role. The former hasn't been as good as he can be for us recently (ace against Germany though).

McCarthy will also be working hard in the next international break whereas not sure Cleverley will get an England call up so a rest might do him good.

If it gets naismith out the team then its a good thing, my reservation with cleverly is not with him as a footballer, but rather the last thing we need is for Martinez's group of undropables to be growing

Heard he did one hour tonight, guessing it will still be a few weeks before first team but glad he is well on the way. Be great if he can be ready for Sunderland, easier game and all that.

Seemed hopeful that if his ankle didn't react badly overnight that he'll be available for squad selection for Arsenal.

If he then makes Naismith droppable though, surely he's done his duty for club and frankly football in general.
