Toffees vs. Spurs & Gunners

Wenger is a weird one. He's an utter tit most of the time but I always think of him as being sound. I seem to forgive him for his tittishness more than others.

Always find Arsenal inoffensive and are as close to my second team as anyone will ever be.

That pretty much exactly mirrors my feelings about Wenger and Arsenal, although its because I was around to see them make kopites cry in '89 and most of my friends in Northampton support them.

Everytime I read one of these threads I get a nose bleed. Even some Everton fans are starting to believe all the hype and we know what way that always turns out. I prefer us when we are poor little Everton punching above our weight!

I can't understand why the media seem to be disregarding Newcastle in the the CL race as well.

I would also bear in mind the fact that if Everton should finish (no pun intended) in 4th UEFA will find some European bye law which means the RS qualify for CL place instead of us.

SUPPORT AND BELIEVE

Tottenham - Have lost their most creative player in Modric and are in transition with Villas-Boas

Arsenal - Have lost the best striker in the league who kept them where they where last year in Van Persie and also there most creative player in Alex Song

Liverpool - Are also a team in transition, relying on too many youngsters with no stregnth in depth and have turned into a one man team with Suarez.

Everton - Good team familiarly no key losses during the summer and good acquisitions with Pienaar and Mirallas. And if they league started in January we would of finished 3rd, this shows our form is continuing... Say we did lose the Liverpool game we should of won the Newcastle game based on reffing decisions we are behind one point as it is. As well as the Fulham game which we definitely should of won amongst others, I feel as though we should really be second. But its the going behind 6 times and coming back to win and draw... that's champions spirit, team spirit, never say die attitude and its that that will get us there.

Shearer has a point but he also has a point as saying " As long as we don't get too many injuries"

story behind OP acknowledges our weakness ( squad depth ) and the fact that it also could go bonkers because of that

There's nothing wrong with mild optimism. Given the quality of our squad, with a bit of luck with injuries, 4th isn't an outlandish prediction. It's not just Evertonians who are optimistic either, many educated outsiders are as well.

And Shearer.

Newcastle are crap mate. I'd be surprised if they finished top 6.

Andre Villas-Boas could be without three more key players for Saturday's derby against Arsenal after Kyle Walker, Jermain Defoe and Aaron Lennon all succumbed to hamstring problems.
