I know in the last two games we've played our part in handing Liverpool the title and for that I'm truly sorry, but by Christ I'm happy tonight.

Genuinely want you lot to stay up. Was at the game in the 1970s when you got beat at Goodison and Jimmy Hill's delayed 15 minutes kick off, antics meant Coventry and Norwich (I think) played out a score draw, and you lot got relegated. If you think of Newcastle winning the title and how you would feel then that is exactly how some of us feel at the moment.

well done mourinho tbh.

i don't want to scream conpiracy's i'll get laughed at and called bitter. but everything has gone their way since the turn of the year. it is all about, hmm, isn't it?

ah well, lets smash united tomorrow.

Mourinho speaking truth - the biased media trying to throw Liverpool over the line reacts badly.

Pretty predictable.

Mourinho spot on.

Since Rodgers comments after the game at the ethiad on boxing day, the amount of decisions in his team's favour has increased tenfold.

Mourinho can't complain though, he's bottled it they could have the title rapped up know

Isn't it hilarious that Chelsea are stuck with Torres for another 2 years on £150k a week until his contract runs out. No club will touch him with a bargepole, and rightly so

Each one of these results over the last week has done nothing to convince me otherwise that the PL has been fixed this year. There is just so much corruption going on.
Even the 10 year old daughter of the Brazilian FA chief had £2m deposited in her account by Sandro Rossell, the former president of Qatar-sponsored Barcelona football club in return for a vote for the world cup to go to Qatar.
I am convinced more than ever that the PL were looking for a change from the usual winners this year.
No doubt a few brown envelopes have been left in strategic places.

I dont know about cash changing hands! but with United in decline the PL have Far East markets to keep interested. Liverpool are next biggest draw out there. Doesn't take much in the way of rocket science does it really?

Aye 1977

And I know. Doesn't bare thinking about.

Still think there might be some more twists yet.

So basically, this is all Moist's fault?

This really. If it wasn't for Everton I'd probably stop watching football. Every year I feel more and more like a pawn in a chess game.

I've stopped watching Portuguese football because of it actually. It is 100% fixed. Whoever has the most power and influence over the referees wins the title. Either Porto or Benfica usually. But even at relegation level it is obvious who the favourites are each time. There's absolutely no point in supporting a second division team like I do, so while I still contribute to the club when I can despite being away from the city for years, I know it's largely irrelevant. Not to mention most of it will probably go to dodgy agents or club directors.

If I look at it objectively, the fact I persist with football in its current state is no more than an unhealthy addiction.

My wife says the same, that it is an unhealthy addictions. I was in a foul mood on Wednesday and it upset my son. He is a bit too young to understand yet and I am torn each day as to whether I want to involve him. I fear him following the RS though.

I enjoy going to the ground / club shop and generally discussing football with like minded fans. It is just the business side has got out of control. Look at the Quatar WC backhanders. Football is sadly rotten to the core yet even though we know it, we still come back for more :(

Yeah. I agree. They should have been disciplined enough to box it off at Villa and Palace. He can still complain though and has a right to. Chelsea and City were set tough tasks to play out of their skins and win convincingly whilst Liverpool have beyond question been rewarded on occasion when it mattered with an easy penalty decision. That makes all the difference.
