Today's football.

They're massive f'ing tits. I'd hate myself if I didn't point it out to them at every opportunity.

There was one in a LFC shirt trying to get it on a big TV in the sports bar I was in today. Of course from nowhere near Liverpool from his accent. Within one earth minute he was walking away from me shaking his head.

This is like World War stuff. Every man must do his duty. Thankfully the western world hate them because of their atrocities against mankind.

Which caravan park was this at lad?

We are defined so much by how much we don't like them

I mean, we go to away games and chant "Kopites are Gob****es" when we're not even playing them

Other fans must think we're nuts

Doesn't every team chant about their rivals at their away games?

Leeds United fans still chant about man united every away game even though they haven't played in the league for over 10 years. Spurs chant about arsenal every game likewise the north east teams

good win by the heat down by 7 at home with 6 mins left and they won by a mile in the end

what a turnaround, dunno why they only turn up in q4 though.

I mean, we've all been sniping at each other tonight, almost solely down to the fact that we're all grumpy at the possibility of them winning the league, and they're not even top of the bloody table!

One Liverpool victory has ruined our weekends, when we came into the day needing Man United and Spurs to lose to aid our European challenge, which has happened

Madness

Utter, abject bloody madness

Really?

I didn't hear one anti Swansea chant yesterday when Cardiff were playing us

I don't recall Newcastle fans chanting about Sunderland when they came up to Goodison

I don't think it happens that much elsewhere to be honest

Hasn't ruined mine mate, we won 2-1 through a last minute goal. Happy days.

And I'm one of the people chanting it too

I'm just as damaged as everyone else

indeed!

if I was a psycho-analyst (which handily I am) I would say that this attitude we have filters down to the players and prevents us killing teams off, or worse...bottling pressure games.

Because in a way it reveals an inferiority complex. And by our history, we should never have such a complex. The Premiership-era with its focus on money, has really put a downer on our collective mentality, as we feel we're missing out. Heysel and the ban on clubs before that arguably got the ball rolling in this direction (which explains the bitter focus on it from some fans).

Only winning can snap us out of it. Out on the dugout, I think Martinez is right for us. What happens in the next 3 years will be very interesting and may shape a new collective mentality, hopefully a better one.

As someone who occasionally goes and watches sunderland and newcastle games when everton aren't playing. I can confirm they do indeed sing about each other when they're playing someone else.
