Today's football.

Rodgers is a low feeder manager. Pretending today that there's continuity between the football he had Swansea playing and the up and under stuff he has Liverpool playing.

Also, and while I'm no admirer of Moyes, he basically spat in Moyes face today when he commented on Moyes making Liverpool favourites before the game: "I would never say that at Liverpool, even if we were bottom of the league. Anfield is Anfield."

What sort of desperate [Poor language removed] would want to rub the face of another manager in it when he's struggling to keep his job? The snidey shark faced tit.

The type that wants to bury a rival as far into the dirt as he can and heap pressure on them. Even potentially turn their fans against the manager. Ferguson was always at that and it makes a difference.

Too good an opportunity to turn down that one.

The situations are very different. Ferguson earned the right to try and see off close rivals; this no mark Brent has done nothing in football...and he's not attempting to see off a competitor, he's having a sneering jibe at a man well out of his depth and about to lose his job in the near future.

based on what? the amount of Wigan players he'd have signed for them lol

No based on the fact he's getting us to 5th/6th having a negative net spend this season of £16M and would have easily used the £40M net spend Brent spent in his first season underachieving at Liverpool to get a couple of places higher.

Look, has it ever occurred to you that our obsession with that other lot is a tad unhealthy?

I mean, the bloody song lyric is "We don't care what the Red Side say"

Let them do whatever it is they're going to do and let's just focus on ourselves

Finishing 5th and getting into Europe would be a GOOD thing and we should be happy if it happens, regardless if LFC win the league at the same time
No it isn't an obsession and no it isn't unhealthy...

The Europa League is wank and given the choice of missing out on it, or that lot winning the league, I'll take the former thanks all the same

What the heck do we care? We've got two whole lines devoted to them in our own song ffs!

There's the paradox, right there in our song. We say we don't care, but we really really do.

The more damage done the longer they're out the picture. I agree Brents a bell but I'd want our manager to say the exact same thing.

Ruthlessness isn't pretty but it's needed to be a top manager.

You and anyone who likes your post are the type of blue who are against Liverpool more than you support Everton. You define your Evertoniasm by your hate of Liverpool FC.

Sorry if that comes across as brutal. Maybe it's what you need. Or maybe not. Maybe you enjoy supporting your club this way.

In the real world, normal peace-loving Evertonians would love to qualify for Europe again. It would mean progress, and it would mean creating more cherished memories (like Arteta vs Fiorentina).

That's what following our club is about for most of us.
