You talk utter nonsense sometimes.

To say PL manager stumbled across a game plan is the most ludircrous thing ever, he knows his players, he knows what they're capable of and what their stregngths and weaknesses are, and he's implemented that into his gameplan. Jesus Dave, thats basic management principles (not even talking about football) of using whats available to the best of its needs. Thast why they've scored 66 goals in the league!!!

If Martinez changed his gameplan next year, and went a bit more direct you'd hail him as a tactical genius, and rightly so. Because he's improved the teams dynamics

You're shifting the goalposts and your RS argument week in, week out; you assumed they would have fallen away by now but they haven't so you're now looking for a new argument to justify these pathetic assumptions your making.

Nobody is saying they are going to win the league, people are saying that they are contenders because they are. End of discussion

Your genius Rodgers had Gerrard giving five yard square passes last season and Joe Allen as the pivot around which the whole team operated. Suarez's goals last season saved him his job. He was THAT bad. Now we're supposed to believe he's sat down and worked out a counter attacking game? He's basically done what I said he did: gone for broke in a go for broke season for him and adopted a belief that bypassing the midfield altogether for punts to two quality finishers will produce the results. So far it's been a roll of the dice that's worked. But that's not the same as figuring out his squad. He's just capitulated any principle of a possession/passing game. In any case, I still dont see the urgency in crowning Rodgers and Liverpool's 'accomplishment' here. They would barely warrant a comment right now if United under Moyes hadn't been such a spectacular failure. It's taken the biggest implosion in English football for decades to even give Liverpool a sniff of a CL berth. As for me covering my arse on their league position: they remain three points from being out of the CL places at the zenith of their purple patch. I really dont think warrants much 'arse covering' just yet, do you?

It'll fall apart when it gets sussed too because they don't have the squad. Which will happen soon.

In fact, if Arsenal beat them in the FA Cup and expose them, I'm sure it'll get brushed under the rug. But that could be the game when it happens

When they missed out on that Ukranian player in the window I thought they'd made a monumental error by focussing on him. They need more than what they have off the bench and they failed to nail that. It happened a few years ago when Benitez was running a far more rounded Liverpool team very close to United. They failed to strengthen and paid the price. They seem ok at the moment, but not strengthening in the window is likely to cost them a few points here and there.

The Kopites knew it too and were letting everyone know a week or so back...something they WILL do again in the coming month or so. GUARANTEED.

Sorry to be pedantic but unless a 30+ goal deficit can be overhauled in one game then 3 points lost will not see them out of the CL places.

Also do you think any of the players have improved under Rodgers?

Is four points that much different to three in terms of the point made? It underlines that they just cant escape the chasing pack.

Henderson has more to him, I suppose. But let's have it right here, that's despite them hoofing it long to forwards all game.

There's a flaw here Mikey.

A flaw.

You said that
France could be Dark Horses in this World Cup

Easyish group and the squad seem more united than ever

But in that case Didier Deschamps has done really well.

So Wenger won't be needed. Thanks.

Why do you hate Didier Deschamps Mikey? Did he eat all your Rolos?

The RS are as brittle as toffee at the back & look likely to leak goals whenever they're put under pressure.

They've conceded more goals than all of the top 8 barring Spurs.

Rodgers has had the benefit of having 2 top drawer strikers who are both capable of scoring goals out of nothing, having the best season of their careers. The rest of the side has been a muddle at times, his signings this season look total mince. I think he's riding a wave that's not been created by him tbh, I still think he's a total fraud.
