Saw this on that Red Cafe thread

I don't really care much about his tactics right now, but if he doesn't mention Howard Webb in his post match interview now, he just isn't a manager of Utd's quality. Ferguson would give the referee a bollocking right now, there's something seriously wrong with him if he doesn't. Walking away towards the dug out clapping ffs.

So you're not "Man United quality" unless you intimidate officials?

Some of their fans are a special breed

Our results against the "top" teams:

Manchester United 0 - 0 Chelsea (H)
Manchester United 0 - 1 Liverpool (A)
Manchester United 1 - 4 Manchester City (A)
Manchester United 1 - 1 Southampton (H)
Manchester United 1 - 0 Arsenal (H)
Manchester United 2 - 2 Tottenham (A)
Manchester United 0 - 1 Everton (H)
Manchester United 0 - 1 Newcastle (H)
Manchester United 1 - 2 Tottenham (H)

6 goals scored.
12 goals conceded.
27 points on offer, 6 points taken. 21 points dropped.

He's not good enough. We've had half a season now, and every time it looks like we're "getting better" the bubble gets burst when we play a better team and get utterly found out.

Seventh place in the league at the start of the New Year, and we deserve to be there. This has gone on too long to be anomaly now. This is where Moyes takes us. He doesn't have a clue.

It's kind of like 28 days later....

Being honest, I personally don't blame Moyes too much. United have some below par players who had SAF's winning mentality last season. That's gone and they've been found out.

There's only about 3 players I'd have in our team from them. That is big factor for a side who won the league last season.

You think United are poor. They've advanced to the KO stage of the biggest club competition in the world strolling their group, and most neutrals would bank on them making the QF too. How you can believe the champions of England wont go on another winning run and into the CL places says more about your inability to comprehend football reality.

Superb record for United there. Top 4 NAILED ON.

But I don't even think RVP has been too effective this season and his injuries look like they'll creep back in. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play for the rest of the season like he did with Arsenal.

We'll see what they do in this window IMO. If they do they're gonna be overpaying for anyone with quality - talking £40+million.

I just think they're confidence is low and they've slipped too much.

Too much slipped? They've been making ground up until this reversal. Take the period from before Christmas week as a whole and they've closed the gap. The van persie situation: he's back in training. And they will spend.

There's always that possibility. But then there's the big possibility that they won't.

The more the league goes on, the more I think there's gonna be an upset this year.

Arsenal winning the league is one of them.

Saw one of those home league table and away league tables a week ago, think united are 3rd in the away one but something like 13th in the home one, amazing when you think 3 seasons ago they only dropped 2 points at home all season

After 20 games played they're 7th. I find it amazing that somebody deny even the possibility of United not finishing top 4.

Gradually, yes, but scraping through with each game and got found out against a team with a bit of quality.

For a team under Moyes, United cannot defend and aren't physical or tight enough. There's something wrong there with that. Fellaini looks like a lost puppy before his injury, a stark contract when he was a brute for us who would win games. It's gonna take more to fix it.

Those United fans are saying he's turning United into Everton. He's not one bit.

January is massive for him.

Until then, I'm doubting them.

I reckon they will write this season off. Cannot see them getting the sort of players they need in January, unless they massively over pay, which I dont think will happen. They might get top 4, almost by default if us, spurs, RS implode, and obviously a cup win is always a possibility.

They need at least 4 quality players to compete at the top level atm, and they just wont get them in January.

The way things arr tightly packed in points terms it just takes one good result for united and one bad result for us and Liverpool to transform matters.

Of course, I know you know that, but there's *others* who see United out of a CL place right now and are dancing on a grave that isn't even there.

And that's assuming Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, and ourselves don't strengthen. I think at least three of those teams will, and the two who may not (Chelsea and City) are already well ahead.

No, they're just mocking your declaration that United WILL absolutely get into the top 4 at the expense of ourselves and Liverpool.

The logical point of view is to say that they could finish in the top 4, but equally they could not. Based on current league form they're 5 points off the pace.

I dont fully buy into the division between 'quality' and 'smaller' teams. We all know that from week to week (especially this season) that distinction has been broken down greatly and rendered meaningless.

I wouldn't demote a win against Norwich as a soft win and failure to beat Spurs as more of a true reflection on chances to gain a CL place.
