He'll be banned for a long time. The Defoe stuff and whatever the ref says will be minor considerations. This sewer rat has transgressed now on numerous occasions and that's what will do for him. It's like when a career criminal comes before the courts. He'll get harsher sentencing than a first time offender. The multiple diving, fouling and racial aggravation that precedes this just make the biting incident (which he has previous on, of course) the final straw.

I'd say he'll be given a 6/7 game ban. If it's just a ban to the end of the season then it'll be because Liverpool will have persuaded the FA behind the scenes that he's to be sold in the summer anyway and it'd be best all round for no hindrance to be placed on his move to another league.

If this ref is stupid enough to say he saw him bite him and didn't deal with it he's an idiot. He'd never ref in the PL again.

Wouldn't shock me though.
 
Most Liverpool fans I know see this is one too far, racism is sound though apparently.
 
I've never understood why the FA is able to overturn red cards given by the referee for overly harsh decisions, i.e. Gibson and Cole in our away game with West Ham, yet aren't able to hand out suspensions for when referees have been too lenient in their decision making.

Heard a few of their ex-players this morning and they genuinely (with the except of the likes of souness) seem to have absolutely no dignity .

They are basically excusing it on the basis that he's a great player it's staggering the complete lack of class they have . It's like saying "yeah I know what happened with the fire and all that but that mick philpott made a cracking chilli con carne" . They've excused racism , diving , sneaky cowardly challenges , refusal to shake hands with "look at the angle of the photograph " and now this they are a special breed of that there can be absolutely no doubt .

They point at cantona and say he didn't get this , the bloke got banned for what 8 months ? Not just that Cantona Was convicted of assault , banned and fined by his own club and sentenced to community service not exactly brushing it over . What else would the liverpool fans excuse ? Where does it end , I don't care who it was that was disguising and credit to Ajax who sold the rat on.

I said it during the evra stuff and I'll say it again never has a player been as made for a club as this rat and the RS. A marriage made in hell in my humble opinion .

Its that part thats getting my back up this morning tbh

What does it matter if hes a great player or Steven Naismith, It has 0 bearing on the fact he bit a player during a football match, Not once but twice in his short career

The Cantona incident was provoked by racial taunting. There's no connection to be made at all.

We've both seen this lot defend far worse things than this by the way. It's that club's default setting: defend the indefensible - no matter how enormous the crime is.
