Suarez was first noticed for his diving in our league and that he kept getting away with it. I noticed though, that he stopped doing that early this season, but then he started violent tackles. Well, not tackles so much as stamping. We saw it twice when
he did it to Distan and Mirallas, was it?, and got away with it. He did it again in the home match against Fulham soon after and there was a shocking dive around then against Newcastle. Since then he's pretty much behaved himself except when he's played for Uruguay.
I watched the Uruguay v Paraguay match and there were a couple of spectacular dives. I think he'd had a tap on the shoulder at Liverpool and pulled his head in, but he went back to doing what comes natural in the WC qual's. Then there was the punching incident v Chile.
I've only read a few posts here, so I haven't picked up on the trend of opinions, but for me his violent, potentially career ending stamps were worse than his biting. That's not to excuse him and he will be seriously dealt with, I suppose. But how he got away with what he did against us and Fulham this season is a disgrace. I'll settle for Karma.
My Red supporting brother-in-law who's never been to Liverpool or ever seen them play except on the telly, and who thinks there's an FA, Man Utd inspired conspiricy against him is coming on Thursday for a few ales. I'm holding my breath.
