Yeah although tbf he could have had his Man United or Real Madrid hat on, still favourite to be the next permanent manager at United

Swansea, Portsmouth, Birmingham City and Wigan have won domestic trophies but Spurs wouldn't swap places with them, you can fluke a cup but the league never lies and Poch has undoubtedly taken Spurs to another level from that they were at when he came
He may well have done, but the fact remains ...they wont win the prem or CL anytime soon ....imo of course

Fully agree they really have no realistic chance of anything better atm, they did have a chance the year Leicester won it, pushing them most of the way before fading badly in the final stretch.

I'm pretty sure they'd take it seriously if they get to the later stages, but the FA cup isn't anything like as prestigious as it once was and a top four manager could still get sacked despite winning it.

Louis van Gaal actually got sacked straight after winning it. Conté won it last season but it just doesn't rate and he started this season on borrowed time. If Spurs didnt get top four but won the cup Poch's job may come under pressure too.

Its just a fact of life these days that the really top clubs don't rate it.

Liverpool are talking of putting a sixteen year old Ki-Jana Hoever in their squad for Molyneux.

Looks a half decent side to me like.

They made eight changes from their last league match although carrying a few injuries and not the biggest squad compared to other top sides so fairly tough to go further than that.

Son one of those retained is unavailable to Spurs soon as he leaves for the Asian nations cup, so they're right to use him as much as possible now.

Went the Tranmere game. Men against boys.

Looked like Spurs didn't sell out their small allocation though. Can only assume there was a BT-related boycott as that is shocking.

Consider Spurs are in the semis of the league cup vs Chelsea next Tuesday, the last sixteen of the Champions League vs Dortmund on the horizon and are still battling two points off City in third in the league.

Where should a Friday night third round tie up north against a league two club figure in that list of priorities for the average away fan when you're likely to field a much changed side anyway and there are greater fixtures and more expenditure to come?

Plus Christmas can be expensive anyway.
