Not really mate. Some rules are not open to interpretation. Not a match goes by without cries for refs to be consistent, well, he was. He is paid to ref a game according the rules. He doesnt write them, and some offences can be a matter of opinion. Taking your shirt off isnt one of them.

Seriously mate just listen to what you are saying. It was an emotional day and the ref was there to witness the emotion tributes at the start of the game and the minute silence. He knew full well what the top underneath would say and he should have had common sense to just leave it. He just was paying tribute to the people who lost their lives tragically at his club. There are more important things than football and to book him for it was an absolute disgrace in my opinion. Baffles me how anyone would think any differently.
