Would you leave Celtic for Everton?
I mean from a personal point of view.

Money not really being an issue. If I was a Celtic fan I don’t think Leicester would be the ones to tempt me away.

Yes as a Celtic fan you wouldn't think Leicester particularly attractive despite the relatively recent worldwide headlines when they caused arguably the greatest upset of possibly all time in winning the premier league. Even though a relatively small club their name would now be known throughout the footballing world

They have progressed from being serial strugglers or a second tier (division) club since winning the league but aren't anything remotely comparable to a club of the size of Celtic with all their tradition and history.

Brendan Rodgers, not really being as attached to Celtic as a die hard supporter will no doubt be more concerned with his own ambition and career though, and it's for that reason that moving from the relative backwater of Scottish football, where he had achieved all he could possibly ever want or was ever likely to in the future, to the high profile big money premier league made sense.

I concur

Decent appointment IMO.

Leicester are ambitious, have some very decent players, he is ambitious, good match.

it holds more weight over the average lay person

You can believe that if you like...

Do you really accept more from the likes of Michael Owen, and Alan Smith, than the views of football followers? You see more comment sense and informed views on here re games than you get from those two in a whole season for starters.

So you continue your hero-worshipping of the views of those kind; I'll give more credence to the level-headed sensible views expounded on here.

Ye can’t wait for kyle from chester’s analysis of the game on sky tonight....

They play a few matches a year in that but every week in a non competitive poorly financed football backwater.

The burgeoning finances of premier league football and the attraction of coming up against top class managers in front of the massed media and packed stadia home and away is another world.

An analogy could almost be made with Sunday League park football vs Wembley

If you honestly think Scottish Premier League is on par with Sunday League then you're an absolute idiot of the highest order

Yeah, the standard in the English top league is better, but there's plenty of good togger played in Scotland

You really read that as if it wasn't an exaggeration for effect?

Of course it was exaggeration I had no idea some may have thought it possibly wasn't, it wasn't meant to be read literally - it was so ridiculous that exaggeration for effect was obviously the case

Some real decent outsider bets tonight..

Watford are 10-1 to win at the pit

West ham are 20-1 to win at man city

They are great odds.. Might be worth a quid on the double

Highly unlikely I know but...
