Was very telling that no other Chelsea player got involved and tried to get Kepa off the pitch. Manager has to walk, he's got no authority there. Have to say though, watching him trying to walk off down the tunnel was an all time classic funny football moment. Imagine if he actually pissed off and didn't come back to organise the pennoslol

He plays a team sport and his manager wanted to sub him for a more experienced keeper who has a very good record in shootouts - giving his team a better chacce of winning a trophy.

Didnt see KDB or Silva refusing to come off

Not only that.. either is was genuinely injured which would have impaired him whilst saving pens or he was time wasting and lying to everyone.

utter clown and the wink at the camera after it said it all.

The keeper is a disgrace. Cabellaro is a top class pen saving keeper. It's no different to an outfield player being subbed for a pen taker.

Couldn’t watch the match so just catching up on the craziness.

Who on earth was the Chelsea captain? Why didn’t he do more to persuade Kepa to leave?
Azpilicueta was the captain today. I guess he is either spineless or one of the mutineers. Perhaps both?

EDIT: Azpilicueta has just said that he wasn't aware of Kepa-gate as he was on the far side of the pitch. So let's go for an utterly spineless, yellow-bellied idiot.

Plus Cabellaro spend years at City so likely to have far more knowledge of the penalty takers styles and preferences.

pretending to have cramp and wanting to be the hero. just likes the camera on him. Ego destroys.

....of course you can, he stayed on the pitch and lost a penalty shoot out. He could’ve been a hero, but he’ll now be castigated by all at that club.

100 times worst than what Mirallas did.
Yeah, Mirallas might be a pain in the rear but at least he didn't cost us a final. And Karius at least made human errors. Funny, but it was a genuine accident. Kepa deliberately acted like a plank and look what happened.

What makes it even worse is that Willy saved City, literally, when they played Liverpool, he's got form for shootouts and if he'd played, Chelsea could have won. And none of the players seemed arsed that Kepa was acting like a 3 year old. Pathetic. You think we have trouble with leaders on the pitch? Chelsea seem to be worse than us.
