Simeone is the best manager in the world.

I'm teaching his nephew at the moment. His mum (Simeone's agent) is in Madrid sorting his new deal out. Already told her there's a vacancy going in Liverpool if it doesn't work out.

Only just seen the City game and both VAR decisions looked bang on. That's what it is meant for isn't it, incorrect penalty shouts.

As long as they don't use it to change decisions where a player's toenail appears to be fractionally offside it will be of benefit when it is introduced in the PL next season.

Second was correct but the first was horribly wrong. The current law is "deliberate handball" He was clearly trying to move his arm out of the way. It was 0.7 seconds from the ball being struck to hitting his arm and he was moving his arm backwards away from the ball and not forwards towards it. Terrible decision. No problem with the second pen.

As for Pep, well he did great at Barca but Luis Enrique won a treble there, and his squad was exceptional. At Bayern, yes he won a league which was a two horse race, but never came close to winning a CL.

At city he is on course to win 1 league in 3, the same as Pellegrini, with a blank chequebook.

Still in 4 comps, you'll look pretty silly if he wins the league and a cup again. The blank chequebook line is utter nonsense too. City pulled out of deals for Fred, Jorginho. Sanchez, and Pogba because the sums didn't add up. Outbid either on fee or wages and chose to pull out and leave them to it. I would have added VVD, but even though we were unprepared to match the fee because he had already made it clear he wanted Liverpool. They still had to outbid us to make sure.
