I was watching the Real PSG game last night and Glenn Hoddle described a cross that Marcelo put in as having a lot of "swazz" on it. I sort of got what he meant, I think it was like it had a lot of whip on it because at first it looked like it was going way too close to the keeper but swung back out and fell perfectly to the striker. But never heard the term "swazz" before, made me laugh.

He also kept saying he just needed to nurse him in.. when talking about a through ball

I actually urbandictionaried the word 'swazz' this morning and it is apparently the sweat your arse produces.
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=swazz

But in any case, regardless of where I looked for a definition, there was nothing whatsoever to indicate the word meaning anything like Hoddle wanted us to believe.

Swazz. Wtf.

Another few things I've noticed in commentary:

The other night Jenas kept saying "moment" and "moments", such as "it's a good moment for Spurs", or "he should have taken advantage of that moment then". Made no sense at all, it was nearly as if he was trying to sound like a Spaniard speaking English.

Gary Neville also makes a huge effort to pronounce every T in words. I'm convinced he's been trained/told to make an extra effort to do so.

What people need to understand, is that Europe and Domestic football are two complete separate type of football. Man City, have been a complete shambles in the Champions League, that one Pellegrini semis run aside. The year they won the first PL title, the following Champions League campaign they finished dead last in their group and ever since then, they've never been able to replicate their league form in Europe and even last year, they got knocked out by Monaco. Although, I believe this year their fortunes may change as they have a proven European manager in Pep. Spurs, who have consistently been strong recently, couldn't hack it in Europe last year and even got knocked out by Gent. Again, this season much improved under a more experienced Poch. Napoli, who are leading the Serie A, disappointed this year. Simply put, domestic success does not equal European football strength.

On the flip side, Liverpool are the antithesis of what I've mentioned. A club, where European success, is part of the DNA, regardless of their domestic form. Klopp, is a very able European manager as well. Yes, Liverpool have been inconsistent and most part, average in the League, but in the Champions League, they will turn it up. The competition is built for them. I do think they will be the best English performers of the Champions League this season, it goes without saying, through winning games 7-0, 7-0, 5-0.

Carragher is by far the worsed. Should never do commentary ever, he ruins the match!

Few decent games on tonight for anybody with nothing better to do.

Pick of the ties are probably

Dortmund v Atalanta at 6.00pm - Be interesting to see how Atalanta get on against tough opposition away after our double dry bumming.
Ostersunds v Arsenal 6.00pm - Legit never heard of these until they were drew with Arsenal.

and then you have

Napoli v Leipzig 8.05pm
Lyon v Villareal 8.05pm
Celtic v Zenit 8.05pm

Going for Dortmund/Napoli myself.
