No didn't say that, think they have one of the best 3 attacks in Europe, even losing Coutinho they look as potent. The game is about who scores the most goals. City or Paris could stop them, but they seem synonymous with heroism in Europe.

Yep it's about the team who would score the most goals and over 2 legs I'd be pretty confident that City, Barca, Madrid or PSG would outscore them and are better defensively

Hope your right mate,it's just I'm mentally scared living in this city and I just know they are going to end their mini trophy drought with the biggest of the lot.

I think it was more a case if Porto being the equivalent of Tranmere mate.

Didn't put up an inch of effort there

Thing is Porto are a decent side. Put 8 past Monaco in the group stages and beat Leipzig 3-1 to boot, what's happened there tonight is Porto thinking they will have them under pressure at home where they are very strong. Sadly for them they have given that front 3 time and space and it doesn't matter who you are, that front 3 are different class.

They are one of the few sides you don't fight fire with fire, you stifle them, control the midfield and starve the service. Of course the likes of Barca could take them head on, PSG too but I think the one opposition that would shut them down would be Bayern.

Not sure I'd trust Spurs or City not to fold if the second leg was at Anfield.

It's really strange isn't it how initially Spurs were in the group of death. Then when we drew away at Madrid and then beat them at Wembley it was only because they were a team on the wane and 'not the team they once were' now all of a sudden they are good again.

Dortmund were also a team on the way down when we beat them apparently and Juve had 'loads of injuries'...... amazing luck we are having in the CL this season.

I haven't even paid attention to the CL until tonight. Just looking at Porto's qualifying group to get to the last 16. I'd even have given this Everton team an outside chance of qualifying from that: Besiktas, Leipzig, Monaco, Porto.

Liverpool wont get beyond Porto. They'd have to get the winners of Shakhter and Roma to do so.

To be fair though Madrid have been weird all season and Dortmund aren't even close to that Klopp side that made the final. Juventus on the other hand? All the pre match talk was about how great they are at the back, 0 goals conceded this year ect ect and despite Higuaín having a bit of a bottle job you fully deserved to at least draw and played great.

Madrid for me seemed to be going through the motions a bit and lacked any fight compared to you lot who considered it a big scalp (it is). Drawing PSG was probably the best thing to happen to them in terms of motivation, they are the new flashy kid on the block with a close to half a billion pound attack and no doubt Madrid had a point to prove - on that note though still think PSG will score a few at home and the tie isn't close to being over.

I honestly think they will draw spurs or city and knock them out
I'm going for favourable draws until the final (Porto now, then Roma, then Spurs) then they'll come up against City or Real in the final and will win on account of the other team filling their kecks and bottling it.

We'd have been absolutely trounced by all of those sides Dave, we made a holy show of ourselves in a Europe League group containing worse teams.

I was using dramatic effect mate.

Point stands though: that was a piss poor group Porto qualified from in comparison to what Sours etc had to endure.

Looking forward to these getting absolutely 'kin mullered in the next round.

All four of those sides would do us at their place with ease. Besiktas have been the biggest surprise, suspected many thought it would be Monaco followed by Leipzig/Porto. Tosun their joint top scorer along with Talisca...but enough said about that the better.

Don't think Shakhtar would be an easy game either. Horrendous away trip and they put Napoli out in the groups.
