So despite a former referee saying it's not a penalty Hoddle and Savage still think it is becuse Gardner is so far away he could have got his arm out of the way.

Shame BT don't employ football commentators who know the rules of football.

He's under no obligation to get his arm out of the way if it is in a natural position. And that means down by his side (doesn't have to be touching his body) is perfectly natural isn't it. They don't have to be tucked behind his back, just as long as they aren't outstretched or in an unnatural position to make himself bigger.
