What has happened to Christian Atsu? Not played a single minute for Bournemouth! May have to drop him from my Fantasy Football team at this rate!

This sums up their transfer strategy. Buy a lad based on 2 sub appearances in the WC then ignore that he's be rated in the worst XI for Ligue 1 last season.

their whole strategy is flavour of the month. done it with lallana, lambert and lovren amongst others. jack grealish will be a target within the next two years i wouldn't be surprised.

I'm going with my son today to watch Gillingham vs. Oldham. Gillingham are having a surprisingly good season and are riding high in the table, whereas Oldham have drawn every away game this season. I enjoy going to games like this, helps to maintain perspective against the hype of the Prem.

Just out of interest how much are tickets?

Buying them online in advance is a little cheaper than buying from the ticket office on the day, so I paid £21 for me, £10 for a under-18 junior, plus £1.50 booking fee. £32.50 the lot, decent seat in the main stand. A couple of times a season Gillingham do games where any junior is no more than a couple of quid.

A few years back, Gillingham got in a right ruck with Charlton Athletic over pinching their fans as Charlton were running coaches up from the south coast in Kent, collecting fans at countless stops, for home games in the Premiership and charging £25 all in for ticket and travel, less for juniors. I think that concentrated a few minds at Gillingam about trying to attract/retain fans.

Perhaps I've been spoilt by the prices I paid for German togger a couple of weeks ago but that seems pretty expensive to me. Out of the four games I attended the most I paid was €28 (so I guess about £20) for Hertha Berlin vs Köln and St Pauli Vs Duisburg. Union Berlin vs Fürth was €16.

Not just Gillingham of course, to go and see my local none-league side would cost £14.

Football ticket pricing in this country is in a right mess and we're being fleeced, though of course you somewhat understand why the prices are relatively high in the lower leagues when it's their main source of income. The prices Premier League clubs charge is why I have declared to never again attend a Premier League game whilst the clubs continue to take the piss out of fans.
