Man City score because Stoke did not have a player on each post. Header from a corner placed just inside the post. A defender there would simply have cleared the ball. Will Managers NEVER learn...

I reckon there's a good chance they learnt years ago hence why they don't do it anymore.
 
Goes to show how bad Barton threw his career away when he is clearly too good for the championship yet thst was the only job he could get
 
Don't quite follow the logic and reasoning in the above...

I reckon there's a good chance that most Premier League managers learnt along time ago that having 2 extra defenders marking attackers in the area results in conceding less goals from corners than by having 1 or 2 players on the post, hence why most don't do it anymore.

Given the amount of statistical analysis that goes on in the game these days i'd assume the above would be the reason for not having players on the post these days, rather then the fact that managers aren't learning.
