The free kick was nice, fair enough couldn't do anything about that. But Chambers was getting skinned again and again and again by Monero and Wenger just sits there, obviously the goal could only come from that side there is no point beating a dead horse by highlighting Wenger's complete and utter incompetence. Why it also took him 78 minutes to chuck Ramsey out is beyond belief, complete shambles. Sanchez is in a circus surrounded by clowns.

that match was won between the managers, it's painfully obvious wenger is spent. he is clearly holding arsenal back, this squad should be challenging for the title, no doubt in my mind.

i like referring back to it because it's a great example, when united were playing reading a few years back, rafael was getting torn to shreds and they were 3-2 down after 30 mins, fergie didn't hesitate and slinged rafael off after just 30 mins. united went on to win the game 4-3 or 5-3 if i remember. chambers was getting ripped to pieces by montero all game, wenger was lucky that swansea still hadn't scored, he HAD to change it, just HAD to - but his stubborness got the better of him. montero rips chambers apart again to set up the winner.

monk on the other hand, could have easily left bony on, wasn't having a great game, but he's their best player, their lead scorer, but it was a ballsy move to take him off and gomis wins the game.
Don't think Arsenal have any defenders left to replace Chambers so he had to stay on. But it was poor in game management from Wenger to not give him more protection - bit similar to how Monreal was left exposed versus Lukaku in the Goodison game last season and to a lesser extent this.

As you say very well played by Monk.

Ha, love the phrase!

At least the fact all the non Chelsea so called "top teams" are having a collective mare of a season makes the league interesting.

And cost only 7m more.

Your argument is to impute future return from Rom to justify an inflated price tag (an argument which by the way is looking shakier by the week)
your quoting the transfer fee to add perspective to rom's transfer, refusing to acknowledge the other considerable circumstances with the two players, circumstances which you are perfectly happy to acknowledge in Coleman's case, your argument doesn't make any sense, he could have cost 50mill and he would still be the same player with same set of circumstance's at the same club, who desperately needed to make his transfer happen, or they could have bought a barca player used to champs league football, 6 figure wages and just had a boss world cup

haha basically backs up what i said.

it's time to put the old dog down so to speak.

yeah i know, i know he's not brilliant but jenkinson is on loan at west ham right?

he could have swapped him with gibbs or something, swapped with monreal. just do something, he just didn't react in any way, it was management of the lowest standard, he's been outthought by a rookie who i was sceptical about being swansea manager.

must be pointed out that swansea had a mass of players missing as well today as i see injuries used as an excuse for arsenal.

swansea had to play bartley CB because of fernandez and amat injuries, shelvey was suspended, both wingers dyer and routledge weren't in the squad either. so they ended up with a guy from the swedish 2nd division coming on for a guy deemed not good enough for middlesborough in the championship.

He could have easily shifted Chambers to centre back and brought on the youngster Bellerin who was on the bench, the guy isn't a great defender but he has pace to burn unlike Chambers and could keep up with Monero. What you never do is let the status quo play out, shocking from Wenger. Out thought by Monk.

yep, look what i said on the last page, regarding alex ferguson a few years back - it should be basic management, it was terrible. montero had only previously played well against hibbert in this country. that boy is absolutely rapid.

Sorry Red 1 but Monreal is a liability
Not one of Monsieur Wenger's most astute pieces of business
