As much as I think the barcodes are a top tier bellend club I do have sympathy for they being run by a tw@t like Ashley.

It would be nice to see them go down all the same.

i liked that 34th min chant. it's as if they expected ashley to spend the £34m right now ... when the transfer window is closed. even in jan it wouldn't have made sense with them in mid-table and manager uncertainty.

we all know it won't be spent in the summer anyway like.

...amazingly tight at the bottom. You have to think QPR and Burnley, in particular, are getting a little detatched but it could be any one from 4 above who join them. Be interesting to see if this runs to the last game, dreadful times for those down there.

Leicester play Sunderland away second last and finish home vs qpr. Hull have very hard run in.

Much as I dislike Pardew you have to say that Palace were poor before he arrived and Newcastle have been dire since he left - the table of the PL showing Pardew and Non-Pardew Palace/Newcastle confirms it:

8 Pardew 16-6-12-47-47-0-54
20 Newcastle and Palace without Pardew 4-11-19-31-57-23

In other words it's reasonable to argue that Palace would have gone down without him and Newcastle might if he had left earlier - not sure we'd have minded that too much!

....somebody in the pub saying yesterday that England are on the verge of losing a Champions League place because of the poor performances of teams in that competition. Think next season could be a tipping point if we don't get a side into the last stages.

Whilst it is only be a small part of the problem, there needs to be a sensible three week gap over December / January for the Premier League. Get rid of the pointless League Cup to make way for those fixtures, perhaps at the same time clubs will also give the FA Cup more respect.

That and get rid of shocking, defensively ignorant managers.
