Watching the Ipswich game and seeing John Wark being interviewed, I thought I'd have a quick peek on wiki to see his stats.
Very impressive goals record for a midfielder! But this part caught my eye on his wiki page..
The medical examination for Wark's transfer somewhat surprised him:
"I was rather taken aback when the doctor entered the Anfield boot room", Wark said. "He was small in stature and I could not help but detect the smell of alcohol on his breath as he introduced himself to me. I was even more surprised when he announced we would stay put to conduct the medical examination. "He took my blood pressure, looked at the reading and muttered 'that's fine'. Then something happened that to this day I still cannot get over. He asked me to bend down and touch my toes. "Trying not to show my surprise, I did exactly as he asked and as I lifted my head he spoke again, this time to announce 'you've passed'. That was it, my Liverpool medical

Just noticed something though. That Southampton kit? Is it like a retro FA Cup one or something? The stripes seem more wider like they used to be. And the black shorts as well I dont remember them wearing in the league.

Btw what are the fans feelings re Soldado? That was a pretty impressive miss, almost Torres like - feel sorry for the guy apart from the fact he scored against us. Is that his only goal of the season?

Well played mate. If only we were as ruthless in dealing with poor management as levy has been we wouldnt be in the embarrassing situation we now find ourselves in. It may be knee jerk but at least you consistently find yourselves in the top 6 year in year out.
