I think Dzeko will probably leave City in the summer if Bony works out. Can't see Jovetic staying there much longer either.

It's a shame Martinez didn't go for him instead of Lukaku.

lukaku will have a better career overall than bony tbh. same price for someone 6 years younger. bony definitely the better player atm obviously.

I'd be very surprised if that turned out to be true.

I can't see a title contender spending big money on someone as limited as Lukaku.

what do we want from this season? soton and WHU to get CL and hopefully bring united and arsenal closer down to our level for next season, whilst soton and WHU will struggle you would feel to attract anyone genuine CL quality players and they don't have the squads now to compete on both fronts next season, so we'll leapfrog them again.

or return to the status quo of united and arsenal, meaning soton and whu will not be able to strengthen greatly and therefore won't be extra competition for CL?

i can. well, chelsea already did, he could have stayed there this season and played every know and then and would have a title at the end of this season. his records speak for themselves, he's above the best players of this generation in the scoring charts.

I don't think Lukaku's goals in Belgium would carry nearly as much weight on this forum if the lad was playing for Liverpool.

Not a fan really.

from an Everton perspective, I'd suggest the latter
from an overall 'good for football' perspective ,the former

Sounds good depriving the two big headed clubs and stressing the two smaller clubs next season. Probably the best for us if we're still in the premiership next year ;)

you'd imagine it could make them into yearly contenders, especially given the way liverpool and spurs waste money and we're everton. but the reality is they won't be able to attract enough top names, especially not west ham, who i still don't think have any really good players.

not that west ham will finish top 4 - soton, quite possibly. not sure spurs have enough to be contenders.

we see what united could attract even with no europe at all - you think them missing out wouldn't make too much difference, however, if we played like we did last season i'd fancy us to be above them atm.
