Bony for £28m? Undoubtedly a good striker but it seems an awful lot for someone who'll be competing with Aguero and Dzeko.

Obviously the former will starting whenever he's fit, yet Dzeko is thought quite highly of. Not sure he'll be happy as a bit player.

Still, if it wins them the title it should be worth it.

A No.3 striker for 28M. Thankfully we have FFP to keep the competetive balance in check.

His strike rate in the Premier League since arriving is pretty remarkable, especially when you consider that Laudrup didn't play him that often.

However as you mention, I just can't see him being a regular starter at Citeh. Will they play him and Aguero together?

Without taking into consideration their formation etc. then they should on their score rate, although I'm not sure they will.

Normal service is resumed......

Still, Burnley on Wed, Sunderland on Sat & Sheff U next Wed - keeps me interested.

5500 of us making the trip to SUFC for the second leg - should make for a great away day.

Bony is quality and he's the guy i wanted if we couldn't get Rom. But its ridiculous. You can build a quailty side around Bony and I like watching him play. Instead he's just going to end up a bit player spending most of his time on the City bench. Hoarding like this robs the prem and the fans of good players.

Why Arsenal haven't jumped on this I don't know.

Got the barnet cut in the local Turkish barbers this morning, both fellas are Galatasary but their English teams are Woolwich & Tottenham. Good banter but have to keep a bit of a lid on it when the Goon has got a cut-throat to my neck!!

Burnley aren't the bottom feeders we expected they were going to be anymore. That's going to be a tough match.

Agreed. Think we should do them in this cup game though - lets be honest their fans dont care about it, there were only 6.9k of them there at the home game.

didn't know it was a cup game.

Why weren't Spurs interested in Bony? He'd take you to 4th, would add some size and physicality + can sweetly spread it around to your 136 midfielders.
