Today’s Football 25/26 Season

It was a foul. Can't believe the faux outrage over it.

U can't pull a keepers shirt and expect to get away with it
Is this just specific to goalkeepers or all players in the box?

Keepers should not have any more protection than others

The Wham player has 2 people fouling him. So why is one more of a foul than the other?

Please explain considering there is supposed faux outrage.

The absolute nonsense that has been going on from corners has been ridiculous and now because it has been unchecked for the whole season the title and relegation battle has been decided on a 5 minute VAR decision.
It was a foul on the keeper but it should have been a penalty to West Ham for the holding against there players.
They need to sort this out for next season, a shirt pull should be an automatic booking anywhere on the pitch. Also holding in the box should be a foul or a pen depending on where it is commited
These are not new rules but the officials have been to scared to implement them
If it is explained to the players that this will be done then they have no excuse when they are implemented.

Of course, we should have got a pen v city and all this mightve been irrelevant.
Hope, for fume, wham go down by point orGD and arsenal win the league by 2

Definitely. The stuff going on in just that one VAR clip was ridiculous. There could have been at least five fouls (or penalties) given.

You foul as a defender. Penalty.
You foul as an attacker. Free kick.
You dive. Automatic yellow card.

(Added: and I appreciate that those rules would have led to us giving away at least two penalties yesterday.)

It’s been a foul all season except for every week when Arsenal do it.

People saying refereeing has been inconsistent this season but I’d say it has been very consistent. Arsenal get the decisions needed to win them the title as liverpool did last season.

Link up all the images of arsenal players pulling a keepers shirt?

Should be fairly easy to do...

Because the impact on the keeper is more serious and they decided that was the first foul.

Keepers should be more protected in their box.

The anti-Arsenal bias is strong isn't it. Blatant foul not once but twice on the goalkeeper who, the rules dictate, does get additional protection in the box from aerial balls. It's the rules, don't get the furore at all

On the other hand, City appeared to have two blatant red cards ignored? Didn't watch the full game and only caught a glimpse of the highlights but absolute hack by Nunes last man and how the hell Silva doesn't get a red card for punching another player off the ball is beyond me

The football commentariat/punditsphere is one of the most depressing fora

Don't know about that. City get a free pass whenever they like

Should have had Silva given a straight red the weekend but no, let the lil guy smack whoever he wants, can't have them dropping points in pursuit of the goons

No one should be sent off for that, regardless of club, don't be a fanny. "Smacked him" ffs.
Bro come on, play nice

It's violent conduct: when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

He's lashed out with a clenched fist, no attempt to play the ball, what's he trying to do? Just because he's little old Bernardo he gets away with whatever he wants.

Can't believ you've just used the word brutality in this post.

He hits him with the back of the forearm, on his leg, it's not violent conduct, it's not a red card, it's no different to the pressed heads we see or the big shoves.

I get worse stood waiting for a pint in a busy bar.
