Someone explain to me please how he can be offside from a corner ? The corner taker is basically playing the ball backwards not forwards from the corner. The ref said that Haaland was interfering with play in an offside position… please make it make sense.

The moment the corner was struck, because the ball moved towards the centre circle as it travelled effectively backwards (from the corner quadrant) as it came down in the melee of players the corner taker was in an off side position.
