He lost some hunger, for sure, but I think he just naturally filled out more as he got older. He was an absolute unit at age 18/19 so it’s no surprise.

Mate just because you get a touch of the ball first does not matter if you proceed to follow through and leave your studs in halfway up the other players leg

He didn't do that. And I didn't say he got a touch first either. It looked to be a 50/50 thing, his foot was down at the side of the ball and the force of the impact took his boot through. He didn't do it with any intent. It was just one of those things that happened and anyone who has played the game knows that. I get that in today's game we are all namby pamby about such incidents but the ref called it right in my book.
