That was then, this is now. Are you saying he’s not a decent coach? Because Newcastle‘s results and performances say otherwise. Another club that has now sailed past us. Oh how we laughed when they were marooned at the foot of the table a year ago.

Not at all.

What I'm saying is that he got passed over is for the reasons mentioned and was out of a job for 2 years.

Plenty of clubs in that time have turned over managers before he ended up at Newcastle was then was sniffed at.

He's been impressive and bought well. Looks like he's got a point to prove. But just like a load of people bedwetting on here...it's half a season. They could have injuries and tumble to midtable easy enough.
