But then, when top 4 was on the line, for that same team who had lost all those games, to suddenly reel off the number of wins they did in a row?
I’ve never seen a swing of form comparable to it from any decent sports team. Mane went from one of the best forwards in the world, to not being able to hit a barn door, to back to being one of the best. They were ready to retire Firmino, that’s how poor he was, and now he’s back inventing the false 9 position again this season.
I know people don’t agree but for me it’s clear as day that they started cycling on midway through the 17/18 season. They stopped after two seasons (which coincided with the lockdown break), and then had their cycling off period when they lost all those games and everyone looked rubbish, and then they started again which has resulted in them going straight back into top form.
City started theirs in 17/18 which is why a team that was 4th then went and put two season of 100 and 99 points together, then cycled off and got beaten by the likes of Norwich at home as Liverpool ran away with the title in double figures, before they then started cycling on again to get back to god like form last season and this season.
Liverpool will win the league again next season, absolutely no doubt about it unless. Chelsea find themselves a decent stash of PEDs.
