Is it still one person who has died “with” this out of the hundreds of thousands who have got it? How many people have a cold, do we do the same for that? If the hospitalisations are in the double digits, then who cares, the beneficial thing to do would be to let it run rampant, no?? The modelling has been wrong by factors of 100 this whole time, stuff the modelling.
We’re not closing football again for what is now essentially something that’s a cold.

You can say “this is just football”, but at some point you have to live life. Football is a big part of my life, I get to see friends and family. I’m done giving up my life. If YOU don’t want to go out and think it’s too risky, then YOU don’t go. Assess the risk for yourself, don’t do it for others
Please dont say that.

Everyone on Earth is going to get Omicron. I honestly think unless we're going full lockdown, and no one is, we should probably just kind of stay the course.

Please dont say that.
You say follow the science Dave, why don't you follow it for once.

If the number dying 'with', not 'of', is just 1, and the symptoms are runny nose and sore throat, and this is the same family of disease, and this is what this family of disease does (mutate into the..... common cold); then yes, I will say we shouldn't shut down football what is essentially a cold!

We should be really sure first but I have to agree.

It goes off hospitalisations, that is the measure they always use. If Omicron is putting thousands upon thousands in hospitals and the NHS can’t cope, they have to do something.

I can seriously see another break from the footy coming up.

Well as I said earlier this one is so contagious that they can either enforce strict vaccine mandates and lock people down or they can just let it go because anything else is really not going to make a dent. I get protecting hospitals but I feel like we've got to be past half measures that do nothing. Do it or don't.

As I understand it cases will multiply rapidly in the days ahead. I don’t think the closure or not of grounds will be the issue. The issue will simply be whether teams have sufficient players to get a team together

Hazard went a tad early so it is offside, but the way Haaland gets better and adds new things to his game is crazy. Dropping off and playing a reverse throughball like a top creator this time.

Southampton equalize vs Palace, thanks to the shocking deployment of a novel tactic whereby they attack Palace during the 1st half. Ward-Prowse scores via a free kick.
